Grontmij Canor Ltd. prepared the demolition plans and supervised the demolition work, as well as the environmental remediation on the site of Siklós Sport Hotel which used to be a border guard barrack.
The past and the future have met today on the site of the former barrack and the future Siklós Sport Hotel where the contractor completed all the demolition work.

Some of the buildings of the barrack complex were only demolished to the structure since it could also serve the new hotel, adding a great value for the project.

Environmental remediation works were completed with the permission of the Southern Transdanubian Inspectorate for Environment, Nature and Water beyond the demolition work. The remediation work was necessary due to the fact that one of the old oil tanks was leaking on the former military site.
